CSSHL Championships Kicking Off

The 2016 Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) Championships get underway on Wednesday, March 9 in Penticton, B.C.

Thirty-nine teams will be in action as champions will be crowned at the Midget Prep, Midget Varsity, Elite 15s, Bantam Prep and Bantam Varsity levels.

All Divisions will play a round-robin tournament, with the Midget Prep and Elite 15s Divisions being split into two groups of four teams, the Midget Varsity and Bantam Prep Divisions being split into two groups of three teams, while the Bantam Varsity Division will have one group of four qualifying teams.

Action gets underway at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, with three qualifying elimination games to round out the field. 

The majority of games will be played at the South Okanagan Events Centre (SOEC), Okanagan Hockey Group Training Centre and Memorial Arena, with select games being played at McLaren Park Arena, Oliver Arena and Summerland Arena. All games can be streamed live on fasthockey.com

Midget Prep Championship: 1:45pm Sunday, March 13 at the SOEC

Midget Varsity Championship: 10:45am Sunday, March 13 at the OHG Training Centre

Elite 15s Championship: 1:15pm Sunday, March 13 at the OHG Training Centre

Bantam Prep Championship: 11:15am, Sunday March 13 at the SOEC

Bantam Varsity Championship: 1:00pm Saturday, March 12 at the SOEC

CSSHL Awards Ceremony: 7:00pm Thursday, March 10 at the SOEC
